a few christmas moments...

a few christmas moments: i feel pretty bad because i wasn't able to capture as many christmas moments as i have in the past. Christmas Eve I came down with the stomach flu and am finally recovering 4 days later. I hope I got enough to share Sophia's first Christmas. Here are just a few...
sophia with great-grandma marilyn
kids playing with livi's new game, "elefun"

capturing one of those amazing smiles...

a few christmas moments...

can't you just see the joy on her face? what is this?

bathing beauty...

bathing beauty: tonight was one of those nights when i just had to get the camera. Sophia was in the bathtub and she was looking so cute. She has been sick, so it amazes me how she can be so cheerful with her nose running and her ears bothering her. What a cutie (but of course I am biased)...

christmas elves...

christmas elves:sophia - 7 months
livia - 6 months (with the same christmas hat and onesie)

catch-up...

catch-up: it has been awhile, since i added some pictures. 2 weekends ago we visited the Macy's 8th floor with our girls' godparents and friends, Paul and Laurie. I think they look better with our kids than we do!

livi decided she wanted to see santa after the 8th floor exhibit. We waited for almost 45 minutes to see Santa. As we were next in line Livi said to Bobby, "I really don't want to see Santa." You can bet we saw Santa after all that wait!

turkey day...

the withers and sederholm families
kaytlin (9), livia (3), and elana (7)

bobby (33) and sophia (7 1/2 months)

turkey day: over the river and through the woods to sederholm's house we go! Here are some random pics from the day. It was a lovely day with lots of delicious food and wonderful family. If you look closely, Liv has quite the "ow-ee" on her face. No, it was not a nasty turkey carving incident. The accident occurred at daycare on Tuesday involving one of the boys and a truck. You should have seen the other boy :)

christmas is coming...

christmas is coming: we waited outside at cash wise today to see santa. He arrived by Fire Truck and then took his place in the warming house outside of Cash Wise. Liv brought her "wish list" and gave it to Santa. She was so proud to give it to him today and talk with him. As we were leaving she asked me, "Can we see Rudolph now?"

footed pajamas...

footed pajamas: it is always hard to believe that livia used to be so small. As Sophia is moving into 9 months clothing, I try to remember what Livia used to look like and feel like as a baby. It makes me a little sad to think how quickly time has passed, since Liv was a baby. As I was holding Sophia tonight I held her a little closer to me and shut my eyes. At that moment, I tried to make a picture in my mind to never forget what it was like at that moment. The harder you hold on, the faster they seem to grow...(sigh)...

hats off to you...

hats off to you: we made pilgrim hats to prepare for thanksgiving. Pretty easy, but we had fun getting messy with the frosting and then of course, eating them. Last year we made turkey cookies. I guess it is just one of those things I hope to continue doing with the girls (and Bobby, too) each year.

tricks and treats...

this picture represents our family in a "nut shell"....
is this ariel or dr. evil?

livi, the little mermaid...

sophia, our small flower...

tricks and treats: we had a nice evening on friday. This was the first year Livi really understood how to "trick or treat". We visited all the grandmas and friends before hitting the houses. Sophia spent some time with grandma Pam and grandpa Mike, while we went door to door for candy. Bobby and I loved seeing the pure joy on Livia's face each time she walked away from each house with candy. This is what Halloween is all about!

almost halloween...

almost halloween: we finally carved our pumpkins today. Livi helped trace, while Bobby and I cleaned out the insides and carved. Sophia watched in her chair and kept an eye on her big sister. We had a nice afternoon and Livi always keeps up laughing...

kutie katie...

kutie katie: our friend, katie, visited us on sunday. Katie moved away to Rochester a few years back to take a better job, and I still miss her lots! It is always nice to see her and catch up on things . She looks so "kute" with Sophia (matching colors and smiles). I hope we get to see her again real soon.

great weekend...

great weekend: we (the withers gang) had a nice weekend! We visited A-Maze-N Farmyard on Saturday. Livi had a pony ride...
Held some of the animals....
Then we were off to Nelson's Farm in Litchfield.
We had a nice time but we cut the trip short, since we were almost carried away by the ladybugs (or were they asian lady beetles? who cares...they were awful!)

Going to the cheap theater (aka: the state theater) to see Wall-E.
Ah...what a great weekend with the family!

too funny...

too funny:
livia- "i'm not mean. right, mom?"
mom- "right."
livia- "i'm only mean when i don't listen, and then i get a time-out. right, mom?"
mom- "right, livia."
It was one of those conversations that made me smile on the outside and laugh on the inside.
:)
