hooray for diffendoofer day...

hooray for diffendoofer day: we celebrated our 9th annual "read across america" week at park elementary this week. I am proud to say that each year our festivities become bigger and better! This year we performed the Dr. Seuss book, "Hooray for Diffendoofer Day". It was a great performance, and I love that so many staff members take pleasure in being silly - and seussical. the large cast

weekend adventures...

weekend adventures: we decided to take a trip into the cities on sunday. We decided to go shopping, and since the day was so beautiful, we ventured over to the Como Zoo. We had a nice day with the girls, and we are looking forward to more sunny and warmer days coming our way!livia in front of the bengal tiger...i swear it looked right at me like it wanted to eat me!

okay, so sophia is into lion king right now, so she really loved the lions.

livia liked the zebras (yes it smelled like it looks from the picture)...

and the giraffes...we actually went back twice because they were her favorite!

livia and bobby put together some rainbow jell-o desserts...it is a little hard to see but there were four different kinds (lime, lemon, cherry, and orange)- pretty cool, huh?

spring break 2nd update...

spring break 2nd update: here are some adventures from the withers gals... i attempted to make an octupus for their mac 'n cheese on tuesday. it turned out to be more like a squid, so we nicknamed it "squidward" from spongebob

livia wanted ketchup eyes, since she does not like mustard...a little tricky!


haircuts for the family on wednesday- sophia, livia, and me (sophia getting her 2nd official haircut from leah). Sophia was very receptive to her haircut this time. She was so proud (see photo below) after she was finished...

spring break 1st update...

spring break 1st update: on our first "official" day of spring break, the girls and i headed to ridgedale to "build-a-bear workshop". Livia chose a black Portuguese Water Dog with a baby and Sophia chose the other baby to play along with her. Later we visited daddy at work and brought him some lunch. livia making a wish as the lady puts a heart and clover inside her dog
