lovin' the summer...

lovin' the summer: the withers' waterpark was open for business on sunday afternoon. Bobby set up 3 kiddie pools, the slip 'n slide, and the ball sprinkler (see pictures attached below). There was even a brief moment when we set-up the "water slide". It was a beautiful day so we made the best out of it. Bobby even grilled some steaks and hamburgers, and later we made s'mores. Awww...gotta love the summer!

backyardigan boogie...

backyardigan boogie: a few weeks ago we noticed that sophia always started dancing when the "backyardigans" theme song came on. I captured her "twirling" and dancing last night when it began. How precious!

driving through the years...

driving through the years: everytime i look at livia, i see my little girl. But looking back at these photos, my heart hurts a little to see her growing up so fast.

doggone delightful...

doggone delightful: this evening my dad, bobby, livia, sophia, and i attended the uspca (united states police canine association) dog trials. There were 75 - K9 officers teams in attendance from around the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin. We showed up early to "check out" the emergency and military vehicles on display. Liv loved climbing into all the big trucks!

waiting for the dog demonstrations to begin...we were able to see at least 89 law enforcement vehicles make their way into the fairgrounds with their lights on - pretty awesome sight!

The first lady on the left (Deputy Jen Mueller and her Sidekick, Jake) went to high school with me. She and many others demonstrated to the crowd a variety of K9 skills. We were able to see a narcotic detection, obedience, agility, suspect search, apprehension, and apprehension with gunfire and handler protection demonstration (all except Bobby and Sophia...it was past her bedtime). It was really interesting, and Liv couldn't get enough the dogs. Go figure!

everybody have fun tonight...

everybody have fun tonight: bobby and i were childless last evening to attend our friend, drew's, band "square one". We were lucky to have Al and Lara drive us so we could have some "extra" fun... proof that we actually were at the bonfire to hear square one play :)

we are family...

we are family: this morning we had a wonderful visit with my paternal grandfather, deacon jerry, and my two aunts, kathy and kara. We had a nice morning chatting and "catching up". I hope we can do it again sometime soon!back: kathy, kara

butterfly kisses: livia and i had our haircut today. When we arrived back home, Liv put on her Barbie "Mariposa" butterfly dress. She looked so cute, I decided to take some photos of her on the swing. Here are some of my "shots"! Which one is your favorite?

my little one...

my little one: while shopping in st. cloud yesterday, i stumbled upon an adorable children's boutique: "my little one". There were so many darling items, I couldn't decide what to buy. Ultimately, I purchased 2 headbands for Livia. No big deal, right? WRONG! These headbands have a small strap at the top that attaches hair clips. So not only is it a headband, it can also be a hair clip. See below one of the headbands that I purchased for Livia. Isn't it cute...and so is the headband ;)

silly sophia: sophia has taken to saying "cheese" whenever she sees the camera (do you think i take a little too many?). Here is her expression when I whipped out the camera last night. Bobby and I could not stop laughing!
most recently, sophia seems to like corners (no, not for pooping...at least, not yet). Again, she makes us giggle with her silliness.

un4gettable...

un4gettable: we had a nice, long 4th of july weekend. We began our enjoyable weekend with the release of our butterflies. We received our catepillars at the beginning of june and watched them as they transformed into beautiful butterflies. We released them in a friend's flower garden. Liv was happy with their new home.
