brilliantly bambi: my students performed their musical, "bambi" this morning and evening. All went well, and I am happy to say that is finally over. I love the third grade musical because it is such a magical and memorable event for my students. However, I am glad to get things back to "normal"... the forest friends in room 224

napoleon dynamite: i did livia's hair this morning with a band in her hair. I thought she looked cute (as always), but for some reason, the ponytail holder moved throughout the day, and she ended up like this. napoleon dynamite girl?? side pony-tail?? well...the 80's are coming back in style ;)

open up and say ahhh: livia had her 6 month check-up at the dentist on thursday. She did really well, but she didn't like the "water blaster" and "water sucker". Other than that, she thought the dentist was awesome because she came back with lots of goodies! mary showing her some tools

look at those strawberries: it has been a long-standing tradition on valentine's day that bobby makes chocolate-dipped strawberries. This year he surprised me and sent gourmet chocolate covered strawberries from California to our house. Don't they look beautiful? I have to be honest...Bobby's are just as delicious and not quite as expensive. But, I can't complain- I love being spoiled!

valentines: my class surprised me with a valentine "mini me" yesterday at our class party. It was a sweet gesture...Happy Valentine's Day to all our friends and family. We love you!!

winter vay-cay...

winter vay-cay: bobby set-up a winter getaway for the withers family this weekend. We all needed some time away to enjoy each other a little more. We headed to Alexandria to the Arrowwood Resort. Before we checked in, we drove over to Andes Tower Hills for some snow tubing. It was a first experience for all of us and a memorable one! I think we will definitely try it again soon.

sophia took some "coaxing" to get into the tube. The rules were that everyone had to have their own tube, but you could slide down together....eventually Bobby got her convinced to get in, and she loved it!
