sesame street fun...

sesame street fun: livi, bobby, my parents, and i attended the sesame street production, "when i grow up" yesterday at the target center. As you can maybe tell by the pictures, we had really good seats. Livia really enjoyed the show, even though her picture shows a little bit of a deer in the headlights look. After each break she kept asking for another show. It was a great experience to see her face light up. We all had a really nice time together. It was a "sunny day" down at sesame street!

and if you ever saw it...

and if you ever saw it: you would even say she glows!

it's a little too quiet...

it's a little too quiet: as i was upstairs preparing supper, livia was playing around me and in her room. Suddenly, I realized things were a little TOO quiet. I braced myself to see what she may be up to in her room. Here I found her reading "Good Night Moon" aloud in her rocking chair. I was not only proud as a parent, but also as a teacher. This was an "awww..." moment.

adventures during christmas vacation...

we went sledding down rocket hill with livia during break. She really liked
sledding, except when she got snow in her face. I really enjoyed that she likes
pulling her own sled back up the hill!

this is livia with "uncle shawn". She talked about him the whole way to Grandma Leonice's house for Christmas. It was another successful day of eating, opening presents, and conversing.

happy new year!

more christmas memories...

lounging around with daddy after opening presents at our house.
livi received a "jump-o-lene" for christmas. It was so big we carted it over to
my parents' house to have in their basement. As you can see, Livia loves her new toy!

livi found a red sequin and decided to be rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. It is always the free gifts that are the most entertaining!

holly jolly christmas...

holly jolly christmas: christmas morning livi woke up to find that santa and rudolph had eaten all the cookies and carrots. She still remarks about the milk, cookies, and carrots! Our tradition is to open our stockings first. Livia received a lot of Diego items from Santa, and he was kind enough to fill her stocking with kitty and puppy underwear. Thanks Santa!

christmas eve memories part 2...

christmas eve memories part 2: we visited the schaffer christmas in the evening of christmas eve. Livia had a great time playing with Noah, and Cousin Matt took it upon himself to entertain the kids as well.

Giddy up!
