pinky dinky doo: this is an actual conversation that the sales lady, livia, and i had on sunday.

Sales lady: I want you to think of name for your poodle. Tell me the name so I can write it on your adoption certificate.

Livia: Namey.

Me: You want to name your poodle, Namey?

Livia: Yeah.

Me: How about a different name? Think of a name that goes with the poodle, since it is pink.

Livia: I want to name it Pinky.

I couldn't help but laugh...kids are so literal at this age :)

sweet tooth: i have heard that you do not need to spend a lot of money on your children to make memories...last night was one of those nights with the girls. We all shared some Twizzlers and spent time relaxing together. I couldn't resist taking some pictures - of course!

family fun...

family fun: last saturday it was such a beautiful day we just had to get outside. In the morning we attended the McLeod County Fair and saw all the animals. Liv is standing next to the 2,000 lb. boar named Corndog. Later we drove to Victoria to ride bike along their beautiful trails (holy hills Batman!). Afterwards we visited the local apple orchard to pick up some apples. It was a fun family day!

these boots aren't made for walkin': ever since our trip to the moa for "toddler tuesday", livi has been dressing up as a cowgirl (the theme was cowboys and cowgirls). She is wearing her Sheriff Livia star, bandanna, cowgirl hat, and riding "Velvet" (the name she gave her horse). The funny thing is, she was quite happy for a long time until...she realized she didn't have cowboy boots. Then she cried for 10 minutes that she didn't have cowboy boots...that's so Livia...gotta love her!

for the past 3 years livia and i have had a "mother/daughter day" where we go to the mall of america for the day. In the past we have usually met up with friends and attended the "Toddler Tuesday" program and then when on some rides. This year it was just Liv and me...so we went to Toddler Tuesday, Nickelodeon Universe for some rides, out to lunch, and did a little shopping. It was really nice!

chicken noodle soup...

chicken noodle soup: livia has had a fever for three days now, and we do not see any end in sight...sigh...We have been trying to keep her semi-busy with little projects (see picture below). Between television, juice, and projects, we have been pushing the chicken noodle soup. Let's just hope Sophia doesn't get it...

beautiful brainerd birthday...

beautiful brainerd birthday: i had a wonderful birthday! Bobby surprised us with a trip to Paul Bunyanland in Brainerd. None of us had ever been there, so Paul even said my name when we arrived. Livia and Sophia didn't like him too much, but I thought he was pretty awesome! He even said "good-bye" to us as we were leaving.
