fun with family and friends...

fun with family and friends: last weekend we met up with our friends (the girls' godparents), paul and laurie, and our godson, owen at the mall of america. We decided to visit "Underwater Adventures" and "Nickelodeon Universe". It was a great day with them, and we are so blessed to have them in our lives! laurie, paul, owen, and the girls

(as you can see, sophia is going through a "blinking" stage when the flash goes off)
we do not take ownership for the little boy in the background ;)

owen and sophia holding hands on "azul the train" at nickelodeon universe...

i think he likes her!

i think owen is thinking, "wow! that's some bow!"

what do you think sophia is thinking???

on friday, we took the girls to see santa at the mall in their christmas outfits. We were able to get some pictures for our christmas card.

Here are a few I took when we got home...

on thanksgiving, the withers and woods family hopped in the expedition and headed to elk river. We had a fabulous supper with the Withers and Sederholm family! As always, the girls had a fantastic time with Kaytlin and Elana (Sorry, Terry and Sharon!).

the brunettes and first born

the blondies (except me, of course) and second born

the girls did a "thankful plate" for a thanksgiving craft this year...

the girls did a GREAT job!

a tree-mendous adventure...

a tree-mendous adventure: on friday morning we all hopped into the expedition and headed to turck's trees in litchfield. Every year it has been tradition in our family (on the day after Thanksgiving) to cut down our favorite tree at Turck's Trees for Christmas. It was a COLD day, but the girls were great! I jokingly said that this year will be the fastest year that we find our Christmas tree, since it is was so cold. Here are some pictures from our tree-mendous tree cutting adventure... on our way to litchfield

sophia, me, and livia

livia, bobby, and sophia (the family decided on a long needled tree this year)

sophia wasn't too interested in finding "the" tree...

when i turned around she was playing in the snow and making snow angels

the highlight of the trip were the kittens

(can you tell by the expression on their faces?)

bobby cutting the tree with his helpers

(this was actually our third tree that we selected, since the first tree had 2 trunks and the second tree had a crooked trunk...the third time was the charm!)

the many faces of livia and sophia...

the many faces of livia and sophia: this weekend we have been busily on the go...we were in elk river for thanksgiving, in litchfield to cut down our christmas tree, at the mall for pictures with santa, and at grandma and grandpa's schaffer's for grandpa buck's birthday. Whew! We have loved every minute of it!

One of the books that Sophia and I love to read is entitled, "The Way I Feel". I decided to have the girls show me their many emotions while traveling in the car this weekend-it will be impossible NOT to smile or laugh... "silly"

"sad"

"surprised"

"angry"

"happy"

"scared"

(i think sophia's face may be more annoyed...i am not sure, but it sure makes me giggle!)

happy thanksgiving...

happy thanksgiving: the woods and withers family created turkey cookies a few weekends ago, but i thought i would hold off to show you them until thanksgiving week. We hope you all have a terrific turkey day!

GOBBLE 'TIL YOU WOBBLE!

another busy day in the withers family...

another busy day in the withers family: we have been busy the past few weeks. Bobby and my dad went hunting up north in Park Rapids last weekend, while the girls and I moved in with my mom for the weekend. Once the work week started up again, we had another few busy days. Here are snapshots from the past week... my class took a trip into st. paul on tuesday to see "tiempo libre"
my class
acting "prime and proper"...

the girls made a snowman at daycare this week

thursday was "family show off day" in gymnastics for friends and family.

here is livia with one of her buddies, mackenzie, doing headstands...

friday was tiger day at school, so here are livia and i

showing off our school pride!

krazy, kute kids...

krazy, kute kids: here are some recent pics of the girls. How is it that they can drive you crazy one minute and have you in stitches another?

We love our krazy, kute kids!!! livia with her aurora doll and matching pajamas
sophia with her dora doll and matching pajamas (she finally wore them, grandma!)

just a little bit of coloring before bedtime

this picture is hilarious! i was giving sophia a bath, and as i was talking with bobby in the bathroom, i turned around and this is what i found! sophia tried to get her goggles on herself...we were all rolling!

belated birthday wishes...

belated birthday wishes: last saturday we ventured to waconia for a birthday celebration for bobby. Bobby's birthday was actually October 25th, but we weren't able to get together until October 30th. It was a nice evening of delicious food (Thanks, Jenny and Jim) and cake (thanks to me...well, I picked it up), and wonderful family! whoa! call the fire department!
happy birthday, bobby!
