girls weekend...

girls weekend: it has been a tradition for many years (i guess it is probably around 10 years) when bobby and my dad go deer hunting, i go and stay with my mom. Well, as the years have progressed, so have the family members coming along with me...first it was copper, then livia, and now of course, sophia. Every year my mom and i go christmas shopping one of the days. This year we decided to go on Friday so we were able to spend some time with the girls on Saturday and Sunday making cookies. We had a really nice time with grandma. It makes me appreciate all the little "traditions" we have started together - christmas shopping, watching "Wizard of Oz" and now added this year- cookie making and decorating. Thanks, Mom! We love you...can't wait until next time when we can stay and have 6 "naps" together ;) the cookie cutters didn't turn out as great as we had hoped

doggone good times: we had a nice halloween. The girls dressed up as puppies and loved their costumes (it was hard getting them to take them off). Sophia wasn't too sure of the whole thing, but she was still a trooper. I think it was a toss-up between the actual "trick or treating" and passing out candy that Livia enjoyed the most...all in all, it was a doggone good halloween!

birthday boy: we celebrated bobby's birthday saturday night with the withers family and then sunday evening with the woods family. Here are a few pics from the weekend... bobby and livia with the cake (thanks, jenny!)

bff: livia came home yesterday from daycare wondering how she and her friend, claire, could wear the same shirt on the same day. I suggested that she call her at home. It was the cutest thing. This is what the phone call sounded like: "Claire? Can you wear your blue turtle shirt tomorrow to Kimmy's? Okay. Bye." How funny is that? Well, sure enough...Claire was true to her word and wore her shirt. I didn't find out until she arrived that she had already wore the shirt the day before. Now I get why Livia was wondering how she could get her to wear it again...what cute "bffs"...

carving out some time together: we finally carved our pumpkins this weekend. As usual, Liv was overjoyed with helping us...Sophia just sat and watched. After nap time I tried to get some pics of the girls together. It didn't work so well..but we got a couple. Here are a few that "worked out".
