princess livia...

princess livia: livia's favorite movie is "cinderella", so my mom could not resist buying her a combination pajama dress and robe. We call it her princess pajamas, and Livi absolutely adores them. She twirls and dances around just like Cinderella. What a princess!

snug as a bug in a rug...

snug as a bug in a rug: well, we are all moved and living in hutchinson. No, we are not living in our new house, yet. We are in "limbo" between selling our house in Dassel (closing date: Friday, July 27th) and buying our house in Hutchinson (purchasing date: Wednesday, August 15th). Livi, Bobby, Copper, and I are staying with my parents for the 3 weeks in between. We placed most of our items in a semi-trailer on Friday and Saturday - thanks to Terry, Paul, and Dad (we also had help from my mom, Janet, and Heidi)! The trucking company will be picking up the trailer on Monday and storing our items until the 15th. As you can see in the picture above, Livi and Copper are "right at home" on grandpa's lap. They seem to be adjusting to the move better than Bobby and me. Kids (both of ours) are so resilient!

terrific tuesday...

terrific tuesday: livi and i met up with our friends, julie and lucy, today at the mall of america. We attended the mall's "Toddler Tuesday" featuring the PBS show, "Raggs". Livi loved dancing along with the band and I enjoyed seeing her excited about the music. I am certain she will enjoy our "Wiggles" concert next month!
It was nice, not only seeing Livi's excitment, but catching up with Julie. Afterwards, we took a tour of "The Park at MOA" (I still call it Camp Snoopy), ate some lunch, and then we headed home. It was an enjoyable time for all of us. I hope we can do more things like this before the end of the summer...
p.s. can you find Livi in the picture staring up at Raggs? I actually had to pull her back twice so she wouldn't rush the stage. She's only two and already has the makings of a "groupie"!

our new pad...

our new pad: it is official-we have sold our house in dassel and purchased a new house in hutchinson. My family and I went for another "walk through" today with the home inspector. We are excited about the move, except that we are "homeless" for 3 weeks until we close on August 15th. Next weekend we will be moving out of our house :( We are all a little sad to be saying "good-bye" to so many memories in our house. My parents have graciously opened their home to us in the meantime. So, we will be living in Hutchinson next weekend, but we won't be living in our new home until August 15th. Anyone know how to install hardwood floors, paint, or stain????

what a face...

what a face: enough said!

life is great...

life is great: bobby, livia, and i ventured to st. paul yesterday to visit the "children's museum". We had a great time exploring each level. Livi REALLY loved making bubbles and playing in the "Curious George" floor. We have been fortunate to have Bobby home with us this week. It has been a relaxing weekend and week, even though we have been packing and putting an offer on a house. Life is great, even if it comes at us a little fast....

first taste of summer...

first taste of summer: we have been having a nice weekend as a family. This morning we attended church. During the service, Livi asked, "Are we done?" I replied, "It is almost done." Later as we were leaving, I told Livia we were done with church. Livi quickly replied, "I done with Jesus. Daddy, are you done with Jesus?" Bobby and I couldn't help but giggle over that line!
Bobby took off 2 days this week to pack and relax (if there is time between packing). We soaked up some sun today, and Livi had her first taste of garden hose water. How exciting! Oh, to be two again...
