got milk...

got milk: livi, bobby, and i visited the como zoo today. The weather was way too beautiful not to get out of the house. I have been slowing down and walking has become a little difficult at times. We had a good day, and I felt great! After the zoo, we made a few stops along the way home. One was a stop to Bongaards (a creamery/retail store). I couldn't pass up a photo opportunity with a cow that big! When Livi went to sleep she said, "After I wake up we'll go to the zoo and see the cow again." I guess that is a measure of a good day.

too bad easter only comes once a year...

too bad easter only comes once a year: livi had a great easter. She was spoiled with 2 baskets (and later an Easter package from the Urbanski's) and an Easter egg hunt on Sunday. Now we are already talking about Livia's 3rd birthday! There is always a reason to spoil such a cutie pie!

spring break and easter: here are a few things i did with mommy over break and with daddy over the weekend.

Met the easter bunny at the mall

Made a chocolate cake with mom and ate too much batter!
Dyed some eggs with daddy and mommy
Dressed up like an 80's princess
Learned how to peddle her tricycle.

Went to her first movie, "Horton Hears a Who".

a day trip...

a day trip: bobby. livia, nancy (my mother-in-law) and i made a day trip to long prairie today. We went to visit Great Aunt Gladys. She is such a wise and inspirational woman. At 101, she makes me look wimpy! Doesn't she look great?

shake, shake, shake: i wonder where she gets her dancing talent from?

another reason...

another reason: bobby and i realized again this weekend, why kids don't need expensive toys to be happy. As you can see from the pictures, Livi had a great time playing in the cardboard box and stacking the toilet the paper. I think we stacked those toilet paper rolls, knocked them down, and jumped over them for almost an hour! It is just another reason to remind myself that kids can be content with quite a few "cheap" items!

one fish, two fish, red fish...

one fish, two fish, red fish: last weekend livia had a great time with fish! On Saturday my dad took Livi out to Gopher Campfire to fish for trout. She caught a fish and was so pleased! On Sunday we met up with the Sedeholm Family at "Underwater Adventures" at the Mall of America. Livia loved looking at all the underwater sea life, but she enjoyed spending time her cousins more. Later after supper, the girls treated Livi to some rides at the "Park at MOA". Needless to say, she had a great time with her cousins, Auntie Sharon, and Grandpa Mike.
